Meet Casey

Hiya! I’m Casey — a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and Master-Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist. I help individuals, parents, and professionals navigate trauma, anxiety, and life transitions with compassion, humor, and evidence-based care.

Before founding Sage & Soul Therapy, I spent ten years working in schools — nine as a middle school counselor and one as a high school counselor — and also served as a college academic advisor while completing my master’s degree. Those years gave me a front-row view of how stress, identity, and life transitions shape a person’s emotional world from adolescence into adulthood.

My background in education continues to influence my therapy work today. I bring a developmental perspective to every session, helping clients (and parents) understand the “why” behind behaviors while building self-trust, emotional regulation, and resilience.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

As a Master-Certified ART Therapist, I offer short-term, focused treatment for trauma, anxiety, grief, and emotional stuck points. ART uses guided eye movements to help the brain process distressing memories while keeping the facts and releasing the pain.

“Keep the knowledge, lose the pain.”

Most clients notice meaningful relief within 1–5 sessions. ART can be integrated into ongoing therapy or scheduled as a stand-alone intensive.

Therapeutic Approach

My sessions are collaborative, trauma-informed, and deeply human. I integrate:

  • ART and mindfulness

  • Sandtray and expressive arts

  • Solution-Focused Therapy

  • Inner child and self-compassion work

  • Walk-and-Talk or stroller sessions for grounding and embodiment

Clients describe me as warm, direct, and a little sarcastic in the best way—someone who makes healing approachable without losing depth.

I Might Be the Right Fit If You Want…

  • Someone genuine who listens deeply.

  • A therapist who blends warmth with just the right dose of humor and sarcasm.

  • Space to try creative, experimental “therapy sparkle” that helps healing stick.
