Virtual Therapy in Texas | ADHD & Neurodivergent Mental Health, Anxiety & Emerging Adults | BCBS & Cigna Accepted
Your brain works differently. And honestly? That's not the problem everyone made it out to be.
Maybe you've spent years being told to try harder, focus more, or just figure it out — by teachers, bosses, partners, or your own inner critic. Maybe you got your ADHD diagnosis as an adult and suddenly everything makes sense, but you're not sure what to do with that information. Maybe you don't have a diagnosis at all, but you've always felt like your brain operates on a different frequency than everyone else's.
You don't need a therapist who hands you a generic worksheet designed for a neurotypical brain and calls it a session. You need someone who actually gets how YOUR brain works — and helps you build a life that works with it.
That's what therapy with me looks like.
Hi, I'm Daphne
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate providing virtual therapy across Texas, with a focus on serving clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
I have a particular passion for working with neurodivergent individuals — especially those with ADHD — and emerging adults who are figuring out who they are and what they want. I create a space that's genuinely welcoming, low-pressure, and free of judgment, where you can show up exactly as you are — scattered, overwhelmed, unfiltered, and all.
Outside of the therapy room, I value creativity, humor, and authentic connection. I understand that the things that bring you joy — whether that's gaming, online communities, fandom, or niche interests — aren't separate from your mental health. They're part of it. And I'm not going to make you feel weird about any of it.
A Brief Personal Note About Me:
I believe therapy should feel welcoming and real — not cold, clinical, or like you have to perform a certain kind of "mentally ill" to be taken seriously. I got into this work because I genuinely believe that when people feel safe enough to show up as their full, authentic selves, real change becomes possible.
I also believe that neurodivergent brains aren't broken brains. They're different brains. And different brains deserve therapy that actually accounts for how they work.
How I work:
My approach is collaborative, practical, and neurodivergent-affirming — which means I'm not going to give you advice that only works if your brain operates in a completely standard way. I understand that traditional therapy frameworks weren't always designed with ADHD or neurodivergent brains in mind, and I adapt accordingly.
I draw from evidence-based approaches including:
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) adapted for ADHD and neurodivergent thought patterns
DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and real-world coping skills
ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) to help you live in alignment with your values instead of fighting your own brain
Trauma-informed care that prioritizes safety, trust, and pacing
Neurodivergent-affirming and ADHD-specific strategies that work WITH your brain, not against it
Person-Centered Therapy that keeps you — not a diagnosis — at the center of your care
Therapy with me is a balance of insight and action — understanding the why behind your patterns while building systems and strategies that actually fit your neurodivergent life.
