Virtual Therapy in Texas | Anxiety, Perinatal & Postpartum Mental Health, Military Spouses | BCBS & Cigna Accepted

You've been holding a lot.

Maybe you're a new mom and nobody warned you it would feel this complicated — the love and the loss of yourself happening at the same time. Maybe you're a military spouse doing life mostly alone, holding everything together while your partner is gone, and wondering when it became okay to just... stop asking how you are. Maybe you've always struggled with anxiety, and lately it's gotten louder. Or maybe you're in the middle of a transition — a move, a new role, a shift in identity — and you're not quite sure who you are on the other side of it.

You don't need someone to tell you to be grateful for what you have. You need someone who will sit with you in the middle of it, help you make sense of what you're carrying, and actually help you put some of it down.

That's what therapy with me looks like.

Hi, I'm Tanner 🌿

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate providing virtual therapy across Texas, supervised by Casey Davids, M.Ed., LPC-S.

I specialize in anxiety, perinatal and postpartum mental health, and the identity work that comes with motherhood, military life, and major life transitions. I also work with women and college students navigating stress, burnout, and self-esteem — the kind of stuff that quietly builds up until it's hard to remember what you felt like before it was this heavy.

People often tell me I feel easy to talk to — that I'm warm and direct without being clinical about it. I believe therapy works best when it's collaborative and honest, and when you actually feel like a real person in the room, not just a list of symptoms to sort through. I'll work alongside you to understand what you need and help you move toward the changes that matter most to you.

A Brief Personal Note About Me:

Outside of the therapy room, I'm a wife and mom of two who loves reading, gaming, crocheting, and spending time with family. I'm naturally curious and a lifelong learner, and I care deeply about authenticity, connection, and finding meaning in the everyday parts of life. I come to sessions as myself and I'll always make space for you to do the same..

How I work:

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you actually are. I pull from evidence-based methods including:

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) — helping you create space around difficult thoughts and feelings so they stop running the show

  • Somatic Therapy — because anxiety and stress don't just live in your head; your body keeps the score too, and we'll pay attention to that

  • Feminist Therapy — recognizing the real ways that systems, roles, and expectations shape what you're carrying, and working from a place of genuine empowerment

  • Person-Centered Therapy — keeping you, not a protocol, at the center of our work

  • Integrative Approach — drawing from what actually fits you, because one method rarely fits everyone

Together we'll work on:

  • Understanding what's underneath the anxiety — and finding ways to move through it instead of around it

  • Processing the identity shifts that come with motherhood, military life, and major transitions

  • Building practical tools you can actually use between sessions

  • Reconnecting with your sense of self when it's gotten lost in caregiving, stress, or survival mode

  • Strengthening self-esteem from the inside out — not just coping strategies, but real shifts in how you see yourself

Who I Work With

I specialize in working with women, college students, and military spouses navigating:

  • Anxiety and stress that has started to feel unmanageable

  • Perinatal and postpartum mental health — pregnancy, postpartum depression and anxiety, and the identity shift of new motherhood

  • Motherhood — the beautiful parts and the parts nobody posts about

  • Military spouse life — the isolation, the role-shifting, the invisible load

  • Life transitions and identity questions — who am I now, and what do I actually want?

  • Self-esteem and self-worth

  • Burnout — when you've been running on empty for so long you've forgotten what full feels like

  • College students finding their footing in a new chapter

I frequently work with:

  • Military spouses and partners carrying the invisible weight of deployments, solo parenting, and constant upheaval — who are exhausted but don't feel like they're allowed to say it

  • New and expecting moms sitting with postpartum anxiety, identity shifts, and emotions that don't match what everyone said motherhood would feel like

  • Women in the middle of a major life transition — a move, a career change, a relationship ending — trying to figure out who they are on the other side

  • College students navigating the pressure to have it together before they've even figured out who they are

  • Women who have been running on empty for so long that they've forgotten what it feels like to not be burnt out

  • Anyone who has been told their anxiety is fine, that everyone feels that way — but knows deep down that something isn't right and wants to finally be taken seriously

Your Questions, Answered

We Might Work Well Together If…

You're looking for a therapist who will listen without judgment, collaborate with you, and help you make sense of what you're experiencing. You value honest conversations and real support — not just validation, but actual tools and clarity. You're a woman, a mom, a military spouse, a student, or some combination of all of the above, and you're ready to stop white-knuckling it alone. You want therapy to feel like a real conversation, not a performance.
